‘Ohrid Express’ (1965) 12m, dir. Jean Dasque. We join the idyllic world of conductor Petra Mihalowski, whose slow, narrow-gauge Macedonian train, locomotive built in 1895, runs 60 kilometers from Presak to Orhid. Scenes include rural activity, laundry washed by the lake, soapy water heated in large copper kettles, fishing. Cinematography by Robert Legrand.
